I received a $25.00 Sephora Gift Card from my Secret Santa at work. I’ve had my eye on the Urban Decay Ultimate Basics Eyeshadow Palette since its release. It made sense for me to use the gift card in purchasing this palette.
This is one eyeshadow palette I know I will use every shade. I was blown away when I swatched the shade Lethal. Blackout is the perfect black. All of the eyeshadows in this palette work great together. If you need to splurge on an eyeshadow palette in 2017, the Naked Ultimate Basics Eyeshadow Palette is my pick. This palette is definitely worth the $54.00 price.

When I saw Urban Decay release the Full Spectrum Eyeshadow Palette last Fall I knew this was going to be my Holiday treat. I waited for the Sephora email that comes during the Holiday season with the $15.oo off coupon. I visited my local Sephora soon after.
This palette is absolutely beautiful. Pictures do not do it justice.

I will admit this purchase was an impulse buy. I was at ULTA getting a few last minute gifts for my youngest. ULTA had marked down NYX gift boxes by 40%. When I saw the NYX Box of Goodies Advent Calendar I had to have it. I didn’t want to go home and regret not buying it.
The Advent Calendar contains 12 Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks and 12 Limited Edition Eye Shadows. These are deluxe sizes.
The regular price of the NYX Box of Goodies Advent Calendar was $49.99. With the 40% off NYX and 20% off coupon from ULTA, this purchase was $23.99.

I decided to renew my beauty subscriptions with Birchbox and ipsy. To be honest I haven’t felt the need to shop at Sephora and ULTA as much. There have been times I almost bought eyeliner only to receive one in either ipsy or Birchbox. I have had a very positive experience overall. I renewed with ipsy because they are very generous with full sized beauty products. Receiving makeup brushes has definitely won me over. I renewed with Birchbox because of the wide variety of beauty brands I’ve been exposed to. I have made purchases on the Birchbox website in the past. I like to ease of placing an order.
Whether I take on other beauty subscriptions that remains to be seen. 😉

It’s common knowledge that I am always tempted to order from Crown Brush when featured on HauteLook. I have seriously been making the effort to order items I actually need. The brush sets always catch my attention though.
Here is a previous Crown Brush Order I placed on HauteLook.
I needed more of the HD Effect Foundation Primer and HD Effect Under Eye Primer. The foundation primer does help the foundation go on more smoothly and last longer. The under eye primer minimizes fine lines. My under eye concealer doesn’t crease either.
I have used the Make-up Brush Cleaner in the past. It left my brushes cleansed and conditioned. I bought a bigger bottle this time around.
I ordered the Professional Makeup Wipes just to try out.
By the way, Crown Brush is currently on HauteLook. I wonder if my youngest Naomi needs anything. 😉

I just wanted to touch base with you all. The past couple of months have been really busy for me. A lot of my time was spent with my youngest as her final year of high school came to a close. Between college visits and her high school musical, life got pretty hectic. In the meantime I have some catching up to do.
Speaking of school, Naomi was awarded the Green Garner Scholarship. #proudmommy

It’s safe to say Crown Brush has a new fan. My youngest Naomi was already familiar with Crown Brush. She has used several of mine. I bough the 12 Piece Pro Brush Set from HauteLook as a belated birthday gift. She also needed a pencil sharpener.
I could barely get close enough to take pictures. LOL! The set includes the most commonly used makeup brushes and fits nicely into her purse. The 12 Piece Pro Brush Set is a great starter set for beginners.
Looks like I’ll have to place another order the next time Crown Brush is on HauteLook. Naomi is extremely happy with this purchase.
