Crown Brush Order From HauteLook (something I needed)

Whenever Crown Brush is on HauteLook, I do look to see if there is anything I need. I will admit I almost placed another brush order.

To be honest I really did need primer. The foundation goes on a lot smoother when primer is used. What really surprised me was the HD Effect Under Eye Primer. It minimized my fine lines. It was like I was wearing a really good under eye cream.

I do see myself purchasing both the HD Effect Primer and HD Effect Under Eye Primer again.

By the way, I purchased the Professional Stainless Steel Mixing Plate. It’s good to have another option when mixing makeup.

Marketplace Mingle and Cocktail Party

A couple of weeks ago I attended the Marketplace Mingle and Cocktail Party from It’s a Natural Thang. Each attendee received samples of Aunt Jackie’s hair products. The Marketplace Mingle gave local vendors the opportunity to sale their products. I was glad to see two of my favorite vendors there.

My First Morphe Brushes Order from HauteLook

I’ve seen Morphe Brushes on HauteLook several times. I normally order makeup brushes whenever Crown Brush is on HauteLook.

The Travel Brush Set is really cute. I’m trying not to feel like I’m cheating on Crown Brush though. LOL! The fact the case zips shut is a bonus. I can just throw the brush case in my tote bag and go.

By the way, Morphe Brushes is currently on HauteLook. I’m not sure if I will place another brush order. I will say the eyeshadow palettes are tempting. 😉

Homecoming Style 2015

Homecoming for my youngest daughter Naomi was held Saturday, November 7, 2015. She is a high school senior now and it was amazing to see her style evolve for homecoming. I have watched her grow into a polished young lady. Naomi also used homecoming as a way to practice for her Senior Prom.

Naomi purchased her homecoming dress earlier this year from Goodwill. She didn’t believe in spending a lot of money on homecoming. The shoes and purse are her sister’s The necklace was given to her.

Naomi styled her own hair. She make clip-ins for extra fullness. Naomi has also gotten quite good at doing her makeup. The only thing I did was her eyeshadow.

I am so proud of her! 🙂

MAC Purchase from King of Prussia Mall

It’s safe to say I’ll be making a trip back to the King of Prussia Mall. I don’t know when though. Finding a MAC store at the mall is enough for me to make a return visit. LOL! This was a pleasant experience for me. Everyone was so helpful and attentive. Needless to say I made a purchase.

MAC Matte Lipstick – Sin
MAC Eye Brows – Spiked
MAC Lip Pencil – Nightmoth

The matte lip is very popular for Fall. Sin is a great shade for me to wear this season.

I must say the eye brow pencil in Spiked is my all time favorite. I have used other pencils, brow powders, and eyebrow gels. I always seem to find my way back to Spiked. It’s tried and true.

I purchased the lip pencil in Nightmoth in the past. I decided to become reacquainted with this deep plum shade again.

Lush Purchase from King of Prussia Mall

I was on the other side of Pennsylvania for a college visit in Philadelphia. I also spent some quality time with my cousin and her family. One place we visited was the King of Prussia Mall. That place is huge. I was delighted to find a Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics store. The store is a nice size. The sales associates were very helpful.

My daughters and I are already fans of the Love Lettuce Fresh Face Mask. I also wanted to try the Cosmetic Warrior Fresh Face Mask.

With the weather cooling off I still want to maintain smooth skin. Rough with the Smooth was recommended to me.

I know my skin will thank me. 🙂

I’m not going to say I didn’t need the 10 Piece Blue Syntho Set from Crown Brush. Even my oldest commented on how I have another brush set. I hope she isn’t keeping track of my Crown Brush orders from HauteLook. LOL! I will say the Oil Control Blotting Paper Trio was definitely a need.
