Coastal Scents Haul

Coastal Scents recently had an awesome sale to kick off the Holiday shopping season. Everything on their website was 50% off. I could have easily ordered a bunch of makeup. I decided to try their natural products instead.

Kmart Haul: Featuring L’Oreal

Image

Image

I visited Kmart this past weekend (no surprise there). I noticed some of the L’Oreal eyeshadows were marked down to $3.99. I also had three $1.00 off coupons I wanted to use too. In the past I have used the HiP eyeshadows which are very pigmented. I decided to try the 24HR Infallible eyeshadows. I have used Maybelline’s Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadows. I wanted to see how the L’Oreal Infallible 24HR Eyeshadow would measure up.

The eyeshadows I purchased are: Bottomless Java, Smoldering Plum, Midnight Blue

At first glance the 24HR Infallible Eyeshadows are really pigmented and the color goes on smoothly. I had to use makeup remover to remove the swatches from my arm. Soap and water didn’t work. 🙂

A Closer Look: Sleek i-Divine Sunset Palette Mineral Based Eye Shadow Palette

I saw this palette reviewed on http://www.temptalia.com. When I saw how beautiful and vibrant the colors in the palette were, I knew I had to buy it. I purchased this palette from the Amazon Marketplace. The seller that was used in amazon.com was RM Cosmetics. I paid a total of $15.49 for the i-Divine Sunset Palette. ($12.99 for the palette and $2.50 for shipping)S. This palette is perfect for Fall.

I do plan on making more Sleek Makeup purchases in the future. 🙂

HauteLook Haul: Featuring Koh Gen Do

The nice thing about HauteLook is that you can buy makeup from brands that aren’t available in ULTA or Sephora. HauteLook featured makeup from Koh Gen Do cosmetics. Koh Gen Do is a makeup and skincare company from Japan. Needless to say I was intrigued. Having a dark complexion I knew the face products featured would be too light for me. I did order the Maifanshi Mineral Eye Shadow quad. There was something about those colors I really liked.

The eyeshadows are soft and blend nicely. I didn’t experience that much fall out. Midnight Blue is my favorite color from this quad.

HauteLook Haul: Featuring Crown Brush Beauty Bag

I took advantage of the Crown Brush Beauty Bag offer that was recently on HauteLook.

Not bad for $20.00. 😉

ULTA Haul featuring Urban Decay

It’s been a while since I last been to ULTA. My most recent visit was this past weekend. I ran into my favorite Urban Decay Representative Di. She informed me after April 6, 2013 Oz the Great and Powerful Palettes in Glinda and Theodora will no longer be available.  These palettes retail for $49.00.

I’m so glad I picked up the Theodora Palette.  This palette is more on the neutral side. The colors are very pigmented and go on smoothly. I also like the fact the eyeshadows are full size and I can reuse the palette.

Kmart Haul

I visited Kmart this past weekend to see if there was any merchandise left over from the Holidays. My intention was to buy wrapping paper but I got sidetracked. There were hair accessories marked down.

ImageThese hair accessories were $1.59 each.

I also came across this Wet n Wild Glamour Eyes Kit.

ImageThis kit was marked down to $1.99

Image

I also had points on my Kmart rewards card to use before they expired. I ended up spending $5.51 for everything. 😀

A Closer Look: Naked Basics Palette from Urban Decay

When Urban Decay first released the Naked Basics Palette, I wasn’t sure if I was going to buy it. I already have the original Naked Palette and Naked 2 Palette. I didn’t see the point in purchasing the Naked Basics Palette. I did think about this palette having more matte colors though. My opinion changed once I visited my local ULTA and swatched the colors. Great color payoff and the shadows blend so nicely. The compact case with mirror is an extra bonus.

Whether you have the original Naked Palette or the Naked 2 Palette, the Naked Basics is a great addition. The matte eyeshadows work great with both palettes. The Naked Basics Palette retails for $27 and can be purchased at ULTA, Sephora, and the Urban Decay website
