It’s a Natural Thang Fall/Winter Meet Up

Late November 2016 I attended the It’s a Natural Thang Fall/Winter Meet Up. I was glad to see my favorite vendors were there. I missed the headwrap workshop though. I did see the product demonstration for the Diversame drying tool. Diversame is a drying tool made for natural/afro textured, coiled and curly hair textures. It will hopefully be coming to the market sometime in 2017.

I was hoping Good Body Stuff had my Baby and Vanilla Sandalwood Buttas. That wasn’t the case. I decided to try the smaller size in the Candy and Egyptian Musk Buttas.fall-meetup

Sweethearted has some really cute designs. I knew ahead of time I wanted to purchase one of her t-shirts. The Give Me My Puffs beanie hat is just in time for the colder temperatures. fall-meetup2

The natural deodorant from D’s Natural Products has replaced my Aromaco from Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics. I had purchased the Blackseed Soap previously. This is the new and improved version of the soap. The Pink Sugar incense are my favorite.fall-meetup4

Nikki’s Magic Wand was also in attendance. I purchased a purple and a nude pink shade in the liquid matte lipsticks.fall-meetup6

Another successful It’s a Natural Thang Meet Up in the books. It felt great supporting local businesses.

TAG: The 7 Deadly Sins: Greed, Wrath, Gluttony, Sloth, Pride, Lust, & Envy

http://gingerlovesmakeup.wordpress.com/ tagged me in a post.7 deadly sins of make-up. I even went as far as doing an inventory on the makeup so my answers could be accurate. One thing I did learn from all of this, I have a lot of makeup up. LOL! Is that normal?

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item? Currently the Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette is the most expensive item in my beauty arsenal. So glad I used the Sephora gift card.

Wrath: What item do you have a strong love/hate relationship with? I have a love/hate relationship with foundation. It can be difficult for me to get that perfect match. I’m darker on my face and neck but lighter on my chest. .The perimeter of my face is darker and the center of my face is lighter.

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?
Urban Decay. When I started my makeup up journey I was all about MAC.  Now I can’t get enough of Urban Decay, especially the 24/7 eyeliners. I also credit Urban Decay for getting me to embrace color eyeshadows. Let’s not forget the UD Primer Potion. Urban Decay changed the makeup up game with that one.

Sloth: What product do you ignore the most due to laziness?
I am lazy when it comes to contouring. I don’t feel like I need it all the time. I will take the time to highlight my face. It gives me a nice healthy glow.

Pride: Which product gives you the most confidence?
Rocking a bold lip color. You can’t tell me I don’t look good.  😉

Lust: What item is at the top of your list?
I am saving my pennies so I can get the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette.

Envy: Which makeup product/look looks great on others but not on you?
I have enough confidence in myself to think I can rock anything when it comes to makeup. I wish I could perfect the wash and go on my hair. My hair is coily in texture and wash and go’s end up looking like a matted mess on me. It wouldn’t make sense to attempt the wash and go in the middle of Winter in Pittsburgh, PA. It’s too cold for that. LOL!

HauteLook Haul: Featuring Crown Brush

Image

It is always a real treat when Crown Brush is on HauteLook. Most of makeup brushes I ordered whenever Crown Brush was on HauteLook. I can’t pass up the good deals.

Image(L-R) Eyeliner, Tweezers, Eyelash Curler, Flawless Face Blender

The main reason I bought this set was to try the Flawless Face Blender. I already have a beautyblender®. I wanted to see how the Crown Brush one would measure up. I found the eyelash curler rather interesting.

HauteLook Haul: Featuring Hair Rules and theBalm®

I combined two separate orders for this post.

Whenever Hair Rules is on HauteLook I make it a point to order something. This is what I ordered.

Image(L-R) Curly Whip, Daily Cleansing Cream, Quench Conditioner

ImageThe Curly Whip is great for my bantu knot outs and twist outs. I’ve tried other products but the Curly Whip seems to work the best.

ImageThe Daily Cleansing Cream is sulfate free. I can use this cleansing cream as often as I need without it drying out my hair.

ImageThis is currently my favorite conditioner. It detangles great and smells wonderful!
