Lorac Mega Pro Palette 2

Lorac.jpgEach Holiday Season I make it a point to treat myself. For the past few years I have splurged on an eyeshadow palette. Initially I really wanted to purchase the Vice 4 Palette from Urban Decay. I got my money’s worth out of the Vice 2 and Vice 3 Palettes. I didn’t see myself being able to pull off many of the colors from the Vice 4 Palette. Maybe if I was a little younger. It’s still a beautiful palette though. When you spend more than $50 on a palette that splurge is also an investment. I really wanted to use the 20% off coupon from ULTA especially since it could be used on prestige makeup.

I saw the Lorac Mega Pro Palette 2. All I can say is WOW! This palette is 32 shades of eyeshadow goodness! The Mega Pro Palette 2 consists of 16 matte eyeshadows and 16 shimmer eyeshadows. The eyeshadows are very pigmented and go on smoothly. Now this is an investment. I can’t wait to play. 🙂

Urban Decay Purchase from Sephora

When I received my Sephora Beauty Insider Reward Card, I had an idea of what I was going to purchase. Urban Decay released the Vice 3 Palette early Fall. I was already leaning towards buying it. I still looked at other eyeshadow palettes. I wanted to be sure I was making the right decision on purchasing a palette considering the high price. Fifteen dollars off of a purchase of fifty dollars or more is not to be taken lightly.

Urban Decay does an excellent job of marketing their products. I would have kicked myself if I didn’t purchase the Vice 3 Palette. LOL!

What I Got Myself for Mother’s Day (2014 Edition)

I make it a point to get myself something nice for Mother’s Day. This time around I found some really affordable gifts. 🙂

I’ve had my eyes on this nail polish set for quite some time. I originally received the Pardon My French mini nail polish from Color Club in the June 2013 Birchbox. This color was from the Wanderlust collection. I would periodically check the Birchbox website to see if this four piece mini set was still available.

Birchbox offered another collection I liked as well. I received the Heirloom Pearls mini nail polish from Color Club in the April 2014 Birchbox. This color was from the Gala’s Gems collection.

These palettes from BH Cosmetics have been out for quite some time now. I was on the fence on whether or not I was going to purchase them. I kept seeing them on sale. I decided to buy the San Francisco and Malibu palettes during their Mother’s Day sale. I also purchased the liquid eyeliner.

I first found out about Nature’s Shea Butter when this company was on HauteLook. I ordered the Taste of Shea Mini Sampler. Nature’s Shea Butter had a Mother’s Day Sale on their website. This time around I ordered my favorites from the mini sampler pack. I also received samples of their soap.

HauteLook Haul: Featuring Crown Brush Yet Again

Image

Image

It is safe to say this is my last Crown Brush purchase for 2013. I saw this cute Combo Brush Set being offered in HauteLook. I gave in to my weakness. LOL! The brush set is small enough to carry in my purse. The eyeliner and tweezers fit in the brush case too.

The pigmentation from the eyeshadows in this palette isn’t bad. You never know when it comes to matte eyeshadows.

HauteLook always has great sets and deals from Crown Brush. I’ll see if I can practice a little more restraint in 2014. 😉
