Marula Oil Purchase from HauteLook

I made a promise to myself the next time Nature’s Shea Butter was on HauteLook I was going to make a purchase. I’ve had my eye on the Marula oil for quite some time. I am currently using Argan oil as a part of my skincare routine. The Argan oil was a previous Nature’s Shea Butter purchase on HauteLook.

Marula oil is known for being a great skin oil. I have also noticed my skin responds well to natural beauty products. The cold Winter weather will definitely put the Marula oil to the test.

Nature’s Shea Butter Purchase (Gearing up for Fall)

Nature

Nature’s Shea Butter had a sale earlier this month when everything was 30% off.

Nature2                        I’ve used the one ounce size of the Nilotica Shea Butter. This sale gave me the chance to purchase the six ounce size of the East African shea butter.

I am a fan of the handmade soaps from Nature’s Shea Butter. Some shower gels are far too drying on my skin. The handmade soaps are gentle and cleanse quite nicely.

Nature’s Shea Butter Purchase from HauteLook (Beauty Items I Needed)

I have been patiently waiting for a good bit of the Summer for Nature’s Shea Butter to appear on HauteLook again. This time around I stuck to beauty items I actually needed. My package arrived just in time for the start of Fall. I was also out of the White Tea & Shea Anti-Aging Facial Cream.

HauteLook Nature

HauteLook Nature2                       The White Tea & Shea Anti-Aging Cream is a great moisturizer. My youngest daughter also uses this. Maybe I should have bought two.

HauteLook Nature3                                                                                     I make it a point to use the 100% All Natural Organic Argan Oil at night. I will also use the argan oil under my moisturizer when the weather gets cold. I feel like I have an extra layer of protection for my skin.

I do plan on placing another order the next time Nature’s Shea Butter is on HauteLook. 🙂

Nature’s Shea Butter Purchase from HauteLook (the love affair continues)

Hautelook Shea

For me it makes perfect sense to purchase Nature’s Shea Butter products whenever they are on HauteLook. This line support fair trade and the shea butter is of high quality. The affordable prices on HauteLook are hard to resist.

Hautelook Shea2

Hautelook Shea3  The Lavender Vanilla Unrefined Whipped Shea Butter is one of my favorite scents from Nature’s Shea Butter.

Hautelook Shea4  I also purchased the White Tea and Shea Bundle. I really wanted to try the White Tea & Shea Anti-Aging Facial Cream. I am already using the Argan Oil from Nature’s Shea Butter as a part of my skincare routine. The face cream will make a nice addition. You can’t go wrong with the handmade soaps either. I really like these soaps since they don’t dry out my skin.

Nature’s Shea Butter Purchase from HauteLook

This is my first HauteLook purchase of 2015. I’ve been making an effort to buy things I actually need from HauteLook. They have fantastic sales and it’s easy to want to buy everything. This purchased arrived just in time too! I was almost out of argan oil and black soap. These two products have been a staple in my Winter beauty routine.

HauteLook Shea

HauteLook Shea3The argan oil has been a great tool to use underneath my moisturizer.

HauteLook Shea2I also ordered two bars of black soap. My oldest daughter has been using the black soap as well. Now she has a bar all to herself.

I do plan on placing an order the next time Nature’s Shea Butter is on HauteLook. 🙂

How I Survived This Past Fall

It was a typical Fall in the City of Pittsburgh. In the beginning there were still some nice mild days. Pittsburgh Fall weather can get pretty cold too. I found myself having to adjust my beauty routine for colder weather. At least I had a preview of what my Winter beauty routine might look like. Here are the items I reached for on a regular basis.

  • Coastal Scents Brush Shampoo Cleanser
  • Nature’s Shea Butter Organic Argan Oil
  • Scarves
  • MAC Polished UP Lipstick
  • Ion Repair Solutions Effective Care Treatment
  • MAC Sable Eyeshadow
  • MAC Handwritten Eyeshadow
  • MAC Wedge Eyeshadow
  • Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Moisture Retention Shampoo
  • Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Restorative Conditioner

Brush Cleaner        I’ve gotten a lot of use out of the Coastal Scents Brush Shampoo Cleanser. I had to clean my brushes more often since I’ve been doing the NFL Teams Makeup series. It’s nicer to work with fresh clean brushes. This cleanser cleans my thoroughly without drying them out.

Argan Oil                    I use the Nature’s Shea Butter Organic Argan Oil underneath my regular moisturizer. It absorbs into my skin without feeling greasy. The argan oil gives my skin an extra layer of protection against the cold weather.

ScarvesNot only are these scarves fashionable, I wear them to protect my hair from the cold and windy weather. These are the scarves I mainly wore throughout the Fall.

Polished Up LipstickThe Polished Up Lipstick from MAC was easily an everyday lip color for me. It looks very natural.

Ion Deep Conditioner            The Ion Repair Solutions Effective Care Treatment is actually a back-up deep conditioner for me. I used this deep conditioner when I’m now on my Ion Repair Solutions Reconstructor.

MAC EyeshadowMAC eyeshadows in Sable, Handwritten, and Wedge have been my go-to combination for the Fall. This combination comes in handy when I don’t have a lot of time to apply makeup. This combination is not only great for work, but for an evening looks as well. All I need to do is change up the eyeliner and lip color.

Shea Moisture Shampoo ConditionerShea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Moisture Retention Shampoo and Shea Moisture Raw Shea butter Restorative Conditioner have been a haircare staple for me. My hair has a tendency to on the dry side.

How I Survived the Rest of the Summer Beauty Favorites

The Fall weather is finally here in my area of the United States. I can always count on Pittsburgh Summers to be very hot and humid. It’s challenging to be cute in this type of weather. LOL! These are the beauty products I relied on to not look a hot mess during the Summer.

  • Black Soap from Nature’s Shea Butter
  • Urban Decay Perversion Mascara
  • BH Cosmetics Liquid Foundation – Deep Beige
  • NYX Eyebrow Gel – Espresso
  • NYX Above & Beyond Full Coverage Concealer
  • BH Cosmetics 24 Piece Synthetic Makeup Brush Set
  • NYX Retractable Waterproof Eyeliner – Silky Cashmere
  • Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner – Lionfish
  • Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Hand & Body Scrub
  • Shea Terra Organics White Chocolate Whipped Shea Butter Ultimate Moisturizing Body Cream

Summer Survival FaceThe skin on my face when the humidity is low is typically combination/oily. I notice my skin is oilier during the Summer with all the humidity. The Black Soap from Nature’s Shea Butter cleansed my skin thoroughly and helped keep my complexion clear.

Summer Survival SkinSpeaking of skin, the Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Hand & Body Scrub made my skin soft and smooth.

I applied the Shea Terra Organics White Chocolate Whipped Shea Butter after I bathed. This shea butter wasn’t greasy either.

Summer Survival Eyes

I received the deluxe sample of the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara from my August 2014 ipsy Bag. I instantly fell in love with this mascara. I didn’t necessarily need to wear eyeliner with this mascara. This was great for those mornings I was in a hurry.

I used NYX Retractable Waterproof Eyeliner in Silky Cashmere on my waterline to brighten my eyes. This was also a time saver for me when I didn’t wear a lot of eye makeup. I paired this eyeliner with the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara.

The Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Lionfish was a nice alternative for me instead of using black eyeliner on my lower lash line. For some black eyeliner can be a bit harsh. This eyeliner also gave me a natural look.

I really love the NYX Eyebrow Gel in Espresso. It stood up to Pittsburgh humidity. This eyebrow gel lasted all day. A little goes a long way.

Summer Survival FoundationI was really surprised by the performance and coverage of the BH Cosmetics Liquid Foundation. I originally bought two shades for myself (Deep Beige and Deep Cocoa). I found myself reaching for the Deep Beige more since I thought it was a better match on me. The color is buildable. This foundation didn’t make my skin oily and it didn’t oxidize.

Summer Survival Concealer  The NYX Above & Beyond Full Coverage Concealer in Nutmeg has been my go to concealer. This concealer did a great job on covering my blemish scars and hyper-pigmentation without feeling heavy.

Summer Survival BrushesI got a lot of use out of my BH Cosmetics 24 Piece Synthetic Brush Set. This set has all the brushes I used for the on Wednesdays we wear pink series I did for the Summer. The brushes didn’t shed when I cleaned them either.

Christmas in July Sale from Nature’s Shea Butter

This is what happens when you introduce your daughters to the benefits of using shea butter. I had to order more. Lucky for me Nature’s Shea Butter had a Christmas in July Sale. This sale didn’t last long so I had to place an order rather quickly. I got 40% off this purchase when I used the coupon code that was provided.

Here is my order.

Nature's Shea Butter July Order

Nature's Shea Butter July Order2

Vanilla Ylang Ylang Shea Butter  The Vanilla Ylang Ylang Shea Butter is a favorite in my household. I ordered four just to keep the peace. LOL!

Coconut Mango Shea Butter  I ordered four of the Coconut Mango Shea Butters. I didn’t get a chance to try this when I first ordered this scent. My oldest daughter ended up using this shea butter. I should be able to try the Coconut Mango Shea Butter now.

Lavender Vanilla Shea Butter  I ordered two of the Lavender Vanilla Shea Butters since this is my third favorite scent.

Lavender Oatmeal Soap  I received a sample of the Handmade Lavender Oatmeal Bar Soap when I last placed an order for Mother’s Day. I loved this sample and ordered a full size of this soap.

The nice thing about Nature’s Shea Butter is that you get samples with each order.

Nature’s Shea Butter Purchase

Nature’s Shea Butter had a sale offering 30% off any purchase on their website. I don’t need any shea butter at the moment. LOL! I did order a couple of bars of soap though.

When I previously ordered from the Nature’s Shea Butter website, I received two samples of their soap. One of the soap samples was the Handmade Orange Hibiscus Bar Soap. I tried the sample and loved it!

I also purchased a bar of the Handmade African Black Soap with Shea Butter.

This is another sample of their All Natural Soap I received.

I find myself gravitating towards more natural beauty products. My skin is seeing positive results.

Nature’s Shea Butter Purchase from HauteLook

My skin is really enjoying the benefits of using shea butter. As long as I use shea butter, my skin doesn’t get ashy. I previously purchased the Nature’s Shea Butter Sample pack from HauteLook. I shared this with my daughters.

I ordered another sample pack when Nature’s Shea Butter was on HauteLook again.

This time around I received two of the West African Shea Butter. That works for me. 😀
