Target Haul: Featuring CoverGirl
I stopped by Target recently. That seems to be the only store where I can find the CoverGirl Queen Collection All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation in my shade. By the way, my shade is Spicy Brown.
I ended up buying a few more things too.
I wanted to try the Flamed Out Shadow Pencils. I chose Gold Flame and Melted Caramel Flame. CoverGirl released a new eyeliner. I bought the Ink It By Perfect Point Plus All Day Eye Pencil in Black Ink.

It’s no secret my fondness of Maybelline’s mascaras. I’ve been curious about the Flamed Out Max Volume Mascara from CoverGirl. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried this mascara. It made my lashes thicker and longer with no clumps.

To stay on trend with the deep berry and wine lip colors for Fall, I chose Fine Wine lipstick from the Queen Collection.

Rite Aid Haul: After Halloween Clearance
After Halloween clearance doesn’t have to mean buying candy. This is what I found on clearance.
I don’t necessarily have to wait until next Halloween to wear these false eyelashes.
I already have a silver glitter nail polish. The eyeshadow and lipstick I could actually wear now.

Clinique Purchase for October 2013
I recently stopped by Macy’s to take advantage of the bonus that was being offered at the Clinique counter. To get the bonus you had to spend a minimum of $25.00.
I already needed more of the Clarifying Lotion 3. I also purchased the Dramatically Different Moisture Lotion for my youngest.
For the free 8-piece bonus you had the choice of Nudes or Violets. I chose Violets for myself.
(L-R) Angel Eyes, Lavender Out Loud, Purple Pumps, Graphite
Chubby Stick in Voluptuous Violet

Fall Makeup Tutorial: Featuring Sleek i-Divine Sunset Palette
I came up with this affordable Fall makeup tutorial using the i-Divine Sunset Palette from Sleek Makeup. If first primed my eyelids with the Palladio Herbal Eyeshadow Primer.
Next I used the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Rust as a base on my eyelids.
I applied the rust color to the inner and outer third of my eyelid.
I applied orange to the center of the lid.
I applied the burgundy color to the crease.
Next I applied black to the outer V.
I used this champagne color as my highlight.
Applied NYX Slide On Eye Pencil in Jet Black to the upper lash line.
Applied NYX Slide On Eye Pencil in Brown Perfection to the lower lash line.
I applied this pale pink shade to the inner corner.
Applied Maybelline Falsies® Big Eyes® Mascara to the upper and lower lashes.
I used the NYX Powder Blush in Cocoa as a contour to my cheekbones.
I applied NYX Powder Blush in Desert Rose to the apples of my cheeks.
The NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Absolute Red as my lip color was the final touch to this look.
The rest of the face:
- Covergirl Queen Collection All Day Flawless Foundation in Spicy Brown
- Covergirl Queen Collection Pressed Powder in Golden
- NYX Auto Eye Brown Pencil in brown
CVS Haul: Featuring SheaMoisture
This week SheaMoisture products were buy one get one free. Hair care and baby products were included in this sale. This is actually the second time I have purchased SheaMoisture hair care products. The first time was for my oldest. The African Black Soap shampoo and conditioner worked wonders in soothing her dry scalp. I also purchased the Yucca & Baobab Anti-Breakage Masque. She said the mask made her hair soft and easy to detangle.
This time it was my turn to buy SheaMoisture for myself. I have made a serious effort this year to take better care of my hair. In the past my hair would get extremely dry during the Winter months and break off. I know Shea Moisture is very popular in the natural hair care community. I was already in the process of making changes to my hair routine. With SheaMoisture being buy one get one free I knew I had to take advantage of such a great deal.
My hair isn’t damaged, but I’m trying to prevent it from drying out.
I don’t consider myself as having fine or thin hair. This was the only hair masque type conditioner that was left at the CVS I visited.
Figured I’d try the Curl Enhancing Smoothie on my twist outs and bantu knot outs.
😀
A Closer Look: Sleek i-Divine Sunset Palette Mineral Based Eye Shadow Palette
I saw this palette reviewed on http://www.temptalia.com. When I saw how beautiful and vibrant the colors in the palette were, I knew I had to buy it. I purchased this palette from the Amazon Marketplace. The seller that was used in amazon.com was RM Cosmetics. I paid a total of $15.49 for the i-Divine Sunset Palette. ($12.99 for the palette and $2.50 for shipping)S. This palette is perfect for Fall.
These colors are so pigmented!
I do plan on making more Sleek Makeup purchases in the future. 🙂

Rite Aid Haul: Featuring Maybelline and Kiss
On my recent trip to Rite Aid this is what I purchased.
Since I’m already a fan of Maybelline’s mascaras, I wanted to try the Falsie ® Big Eyes ® Mascara. I purchased Blackest Black.
Lashes before
Lashes after
I only applied one coat of this mascara. I really like the brush for the bottom
lashes.
I also saw the Fall 2013 makeup collection from Maybelline. I purchased only one lipstick and that shade was Midnight Plum. This color reminds me of Cyber from MAC and Talk That Talk from the RiRi Hearts MAC Collection. I really love Midnight Plum. I may have to pick up another lipstick in that shade.
I need to get back into doing my nails. I purchased the Kiss Nail Artist. I have enough nail polish. No more excuses. 😉

Nicki Minaj’s Clothing Line for Kmart
Nicki Minaj recently launched her clothing line for Kmart. When I went to my local Kmart today, this is what I found.
I know my daughters will like these clothes and accessories. The leggings in this collection are really cute too! 🙂
Modern Hair Beauty Supply
Modern Hair Beauty Supply is located in the East Liberty neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA. It’s been more than ten years since I last shopped there. I stopped by Modern Hair recently on a whim just to see what was in stock. For starters I asked the cashier of they carried African Shea Butter. With the weather getting cooler in my area, I knew I would need to make adjustments to my natural hair care routine.
I’ve been reading positive things about African Shea Butter on the natural hair care blogs. This container of Ghana Shea Butter was $3.99 for six ounces.
I walked around the store to see what else they carried. I was extremely happy to find Jamaican Black Castor Oil. This meant I no longer had to purchase Jamaican Black Castor Oil on Amazon.com. I paid $9.99 for a four ounce bottle. This time I wanted to try the Jamaican Black Castor Oil with lavender. I love the results I’ve been getting with this oil but I couldn’t stand the smell of the regular kind.
If you are ever in the Pittsburgh area, Modern Hair Beauty Supply is located 6320
Shakespeare Street.
