To make sure I continue to take care of my hair during the Winter months, I went to Sally Beauty Supply. I decided to try another conditioner from the Ion Repair Solutions line. The Intensive Therapy Protein Rebuilder is a reconstructor for weak and damaged hair. Winter does stress out my hair so this conditioner is worth a try.
I also purchased bottles to make it easier for me to use the natural oils I purchased from Coastal Scents. I plan on making my own hot oil treatments too. 😉

Coastal Scents http://www.coastalscents.com/ had a sale just in time for the New Year. Everything on their Website was 40% off. Â I knew I wanted to purchase another oil to add to my natural products collection. I also wanted to try something new from Coastal Scents.
I purchased the palm kernel oil and four samples of the loose mineral eyeshadow.

I discovered a new store during the Holiday shopping season. The store is called Charming Charlie. This store carries clothing and accessories. It was the sign in the window advertising a clearance sale that caught my interest. I was greeted by a sales associate who walked me over to a display that had purses on clearance. The purses were already marked down and the sale included 50% off of that price.
This is what I purchased.
The total came to $18.00 before the sales tax of 7% was applied. Not bad. 😉
I’m always looking for deals after the Holidays. There are times I will wait to make a purchase when I know that item will be marked down. I had a $25.00 gift card I wanted to use.
I originally swatched the Color Outside the Lines Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner set just before Christmas. I really liked the staying power if the eyeliners but I didn’t want to pay $34.00. I called my favorite ULTA store after Christmas to see if there were any of the Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner sets in stock. I had them hold a set for me and a Kitten Must-Haves Makeup Collection as well.

YouTube sensation Michelle Phan launched her cosmetics line in 2013. http://www.emcosmetics.com/. Like many of us I subscribe to her channel. I knew it was a matter of time when Michelle would have her own brand of cosmetics.
Michelle released The Life Palette Holiday Life: New Year’s Countdown Edition palette. I purchased this limited edition palette when it was on sale for 40% off. The regular price was $29.00. This palette is small enough to fit in my purse.
The colors in this palette are versatile enough for me to use for special occasions or every day.

It is safe to say this is my last Crown Brush purchase for 2013. I saw this cute Combo Brush Set being offered in HauteLook. I gave in to my weakness. LOL! The brush set is small enough to carry in my purse. The eyeliner and tweezers fit in the brush case too.
The pigmentation from the eyeshadows in this palette isn’t bad. You never know when it comes to matte eyeshadows.
HauteLook always has great sets and deals from Crown Brush. I’ll see if I can practice a little more restraint in 2014. 😉

The first time I bought the Shea Moisture shampoo and conditioner was when it was buy one get one free at CVS. I barely had the chance to use the Shea Moisture shampoo and conditioner when my oldest daughter as to borrow it. Anyone with daughters knows whenever they ask to borrow something you rarely get it back. LOL! Since I had a coupon from Sally Beauty Supply I replaced my Shea Moisture shampoo and conditioner.
I also bought a Beautiful Collection semi-permanent hair color in Darkest Brown. I really like this brand because it leaves my hair soft. Need to cover up the grays. 😉
